Vie for supremacy across the Mortal Realms in our Age of Sigmar Escalation League!
Basic Info
Entry is $20. The league will consist of four rounds lasting two weeks each for a total of two months. Matches will be Matched Play, and the point schedule will be 750pts, 1250pts, 1750pts, 2000pts. No unit can be worth more than half the point limit for the round. Prizes go to Best Overall (wins), Hobby (Battle Ready/painted and based models), and Best Sport (voted). In addition there will be a random drawing at the end of each round from among those who played their match that round for $60 GW credit (see details in Prizes).
Pairings
By the day before a round starts, all players must send in their availability for the round. Players will be manually paired and given a specific date and time during the two-week round to play their match. Pairings will be available on Best Coast Pairings, with the date and time of the match found by clicking "View List" under either player.
Last-minute issues or cancellations will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, though please keep in mind that people are busy and will have specifically set aside the indicated time. As such rescheduling may not be possible and may result in a forfeit for the cancelling player.
Communication
Announcements will be made in both the Top Tier Wargaming Crew group on Facebook and in the #warhammer-40k-aos channel on our Discord (discord.gg/rAYXQEM), so players will need to join at least one of those platforms in order to receive communications related to the league. Hobby points must be reported by each player's opponent to Corey (through FB Messenger or Discord dm) during or immediately after their match. Any issues with scheduling or the league in general should be directed to Corey as well.
Gameplay
Players must keep the same faction for the duration of the league, but may change the army composition as much as desired between rounds. All matches will be Matched Play at the current point level. December 2024 Battle Profiles & Rules Updates will be in effect. Field size is 44"x60" for all games. Missions will be taken from the General's Handbook 2024-25 and will follow the schedule outlined below.

Prizes
Store credit prizes based on league attendance will be awarded based on the categories Best Overall (most wins, Hobby tiebreaker), Hobby (most hobby points, wins tiebreaker), and Best Sport. Best Overall and Hobby cannot be won by the same person.
Two Hobby points can be earned each round, one each for Fully Painted and Based (with some non-flat texture, i.e. only painted black does not count).
Additionally, at the end of each round there will be a random drawing for $60 GW credit. This is not store credit applied to an account, rather the winner will choose an item in that price range that is currently available on Games Workshop's website and we will order that item.
